If we all help others in need, it follows logically that we will receive help when we need it, each one of us being others’ “other.” By so doing, we live in the world we want — instantly.
Everything must be seen as either an act of love or a cry for help. Reacting to those acts as if they were what they are not only reinforces illusions that they were what they are not. For who would react with attack to a cry for help or an act of love?
The illusions created by our egos and personalities — the time-sensitive “goals” we chase, whatever they may be — lie to us into believing that cries for help are distractions. Our egos tell us, “I do not have time for others now; I must focus on my goals.” But the truth is that our goals mean nothing without others. More so, they are easily achieved through others, as a logical, obvious consequence of helping them. By prioritizing others, we are clearly selfishly helping ourselves. It helps everyone to be selfish in this way: selfishly focusing on others’ well-being.
If we all give to others, since we are others’ “other,” it follows that our environment will shower us with much-welcome presents.
If we all give to others in need, it follows logically that we will receive help when we need it. To give is to receive — not as an act of sacrifice, but as a realization that all was given us, so it is easy to be generous.
No effort is ever wasted. Every act fulfills a current or future need.
Sacrifice is not necessary. There is nothing you must do if you do not want to. Life will continue, and anything you leave undone will be done by someone who finds joy or purpose in doing it.
Salvation consists in putting our brother’s goals as a priority. Our goals will instantly and automatically become a priority for our brothers. This is not a transaction.
Salvation also consists in forgiving our brothers for the sins we think they did and recognizing their innocence, as it is impossible to act willingly against ourselves. The term “brother” is an acknowledgment that we all share the same source, the same origin, and the same essence.
To shift instantly and live in the world you want, all it takes is to live there. No wait is necessary, just acceptance.
Paradise is come.
